Our annual church Christmas party was a great time of food, fellowship, and fun!
This year we held our adult Christmas party at the Chop House in St. John, Indiana.
We had a good turnout with 22 adults in attendance. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the season and we had our own little 'wing' reserved for our exclusive use.
The menu included fish, chicken, pasta, baked potatoes, green beans, salad, and delicious hot bread and herbed butter. Mmmmm! No one went home hungry. We even had a little ice cream for dessert!
After we finished our mouthwatering meal, Pastor challenged us to some brain benders in the form of a couple of memory games.
The competition was fierce as we all racked our brains to prove that, "Yes, we are observant" at church. Unfortunately, most of us aren't!
He then tested our knowledge of Bible knowledge with a quick quiz of well-known and lesser known Biblical facts.
Tim came out on top for BOTH competitions, closely followed in second place by his brother Curtis. "Let brotherly love continue..."
We finally ended the evening with a robust gift exchange. Robust? Yes, you heard me right. We played a very amusing pass the parcel game with our gifts - sending them left, then right, repeatedly around the table as Pastor read "a Christmas story" that directed our actions.
If you missed the Christmas party this year, you definitely missed out on a lovely time. Plan to attend the next upcoming event and join in the fun!
